Recharge a Fire Extinguisher After Every Use
A portable fire extinguisher must be recharged after each use, even if some chemical remains in the cylinder. This will ensure that your extinguisher is certified and ready for use. If you have discharged your portable fire extinguisher, contact Richardson Fire Equipment for an extinguisher recharge in the DFW area.
Reading a Fire Extinguisher Gauge
Reading a fire extinguisher gauge is a quick and easy way to tell if your fire extinguisher needs a recharge. The acceptable range is indicated by the green area behind the needle. If the pressure is outside of that range, contact Richardson Fire Equipment for a recharge.
Please note that if a fire extinguisher has been discharged, it must be recharged and re-certified, even if the gauge indicates that the pressure is still within an acceptable range.
Recharging Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers
Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers must be weighed to determine if they are fully charged. Call (972) 699-3473 to schedule an inspection or recharge of carbon dioxide fire extinguishers.Contact Us
